Lafarge Portland Duo is an innovative blended cement for ready-mix concrete designed to provide the benefits of high-strength Ordinary Portland Cement and the durability advantage of Moderate Heat Cement.

It was developed through a collaboration among the international experts in the Lafarge Asia Technical Center based in Malaysia and the local team of Republic Cement, acknowledged in the industry as the leader in bulk cement for reliable consistency and predictability. In order to better meet the specific concerns and requirements of the local RMX industry, the team took one of the well-established formulations that Lafarge offers in other countries, and further enhanced this to be more suitable for local environmental conditions.

The result is superior value for ready-mix concrete batching plants and their customers through significant durability improvement and potential cost savings through mix design optimization.

The Lafarge Mobile Laboratory is a value-added service offered to top customers to help them test, innovate, troubleshoot and optimize their operations. It can conduct all the physical and chemical tests typically needed to analyze cement, aggregate and concrete performance in line with ASTM standards.

The mobile lab is uniquely capable of instantaneously testing materials on-site, making it possible to adjust concrete mixes mid-way as necessary to avoid issues during construction. This is a cost-effective alternative for customers to conduct continual and routine performance testing to ensure the quality of materials used for their projects.

Beyond the added flexibility, this innovation also provides customers access to Lafarge's global expertise, through our technical team managing the lab.
