Our Priorities

Lafarge Philippines has outlined a number of sustainable development priorities that are in line with the Lafarge Group's Sustainability Ambitions 2012.

Health and Safety

Safety is a top priority for Lafarge in the Philipppines as it is for Lafarge worldwide. A stringent safety policy is in place to promote a culture of safety and establish Lafarge as one of the world's leading companies in this domain.

Fighting Climate Change

Lafarge and its associated companies in the Philippines have been doing their share to contribute to the Group's ambition to reduce its carbon footprint by 20% by measuring its impact and implementing actions to reduce carbon emissions through (1) waste heat recovery which will reduce power consumption, (2) substitution of fossil fuel with carbon-neutral materials and fuels and (3) campaigning for increased use of blended cement to reduce fuel consumption.

Sustainable Construction

Lafarge will continue to contribute to designing innovative, lasting construction solutions - from alternative materials and recycling to renewable energy and optimization of thermal inertia - to efficiently reduce the impact of buildings on the environment.
